My name is Amy Conner and I’m a third-year meteorology student! My favorite weather experience was on a drive home from Texas during TORUS 2023 when we stumbled across a beautiful supercell that formed right over our heads! We got to just watch and experience the storm rather than get stressed out from data collection, so we all had a blast and bonded as a team. One fun fact about me is that I have 4 cats back home named Noodles, Spaghetti, Puff, and Alfie who don’t enjoy storms nearly as much as I do. My favorite memory from AMS last year is when we completed a severe weather forecasting activity and it became a competition for who could come up with the craziest answer to each question. We all laughed and learned a lot! |
